Lovely spacious property, with ample private parking right outside the door. It is nicely furnished and well maintained. The outside is limited to a patio which catches the sun throughout the day - nice pleasant place to dine. Entertainment is the neighbours robot lawn mower on constant duty (silently working away). Our small dog was unable to hop Read moreup to their lawn but bigger more capable dogs would need to be kept on a lead to avoid temptation. No lawn meant regular short walks to the river - gladly taken. We walked every day, many of which were from the front door and back, with a couple of walks up to Bingham Rocks - well worth a visit. The location is by the river Nidd and the village has a good shop, tearoom and garage. Sadly the pub is closed but the walk to Dacre Banks, the next village, is short and pleasant. We had a couple of very nice meals at the Wellington a little further out and one at the closer Royal Oak in Dacre Banks. Overall a very nice place to stay. Hide

The cottage was spacious and easily large enough for six adults and a dog. Previous reviews mentioned the patio area was small but we thought it was a good size. The location of the cottage is wonderful for exploring the Dales and theres a pub 10 minutes down the lane. What more could you ask for?

Sitting room well furnished and comfortable; took us a while to locate the master switch for lights in it. Kitchen equipment was disappointing. Only very thick white builders mugs for tea although there was a teapot which would suggest cups; no milk jug but there was a big water jug. The crockery was functional but not the quality we would expect. Read moreThe location was good and we enjoyed the river being so close. Parking also good. nearness of village shop a bonus. Hide

Wonderful place to stay! Spacious, warm and well-equipped kitchen and house. Spotlessly clean, comfortable beds and pillows and just a lovely feel about everything. Was perfect for 6 older adults who like their comfort. Couldnt fault a thing. Convenient for Knaresborough and Harrogate as well as Pateley Bridge. Highly recommended.

Lovely clean and well equipped in a great location for trips out. A wardrobe in the second double bedroom would be the only improvement needed.

Very central to all we wanted to see & do. The sound from the river is so relaxing. We would have no hesitation in booking again.
