Step inside, and you'll find the lounge/diner featuring a comfortable sofa, Smart TV, and a welcoming wood burner set into a stone fireplace. The large dining table, seating eight, is perfect for family meal times or games. A second lounge offers two sofas, a well-stocked bookcase, another Smart TV for film nights, and an additional wood burner that Rover is sure to adore. Continue to the spacious, well-equipped kitchen/diner, where the chef of the day can whip up a storm. Ample worktop space allows for easy food preparation, and an additional dining table is there for breakfasts or sociable drinks while dinner is cooking. The kitchen leads to a utility room connected to a gleaming family bathroom. Upstairs, four generously sized bedrooms await, comprising two super-king-size bedrooms and two twin bedrooms, each with an en-suite shower room. Two village pubs provide a warm welcome to those with four legs and two. For walkies to remember, explore scenic sections of the Pennine Way right from the doorstep. The cottage was beautiful, the beds were very comfortable and gorgeous linen. Local Co-op is good for a few bits. Just a note, no local electric car charges if you don't bring your own lead, so plan ahead. Cosy, warm and welcoming.

The cottage was in an ideal position so that we could spend Christmas with my mother without being on top of each other. The cottage was clean and well equipped for our needs. Rockwell house is one of the best equipped and spacious holiday cottages we have ever stayed in! Plenty of crockery, cutlery and glassware, two cookers, large fridge and freezer. We loved this house, it was big enough for 2 families blending to give kids own space whilst bonding. But close enough to enjoy time together playing board games and great to explore the local area. Wonderful waterfalls a short drive and longer walks. Down side is no real garden space, just very narrow patio area with 2 seater bistro type table./chRead moreairs. Fantastic sized rooms, very usable kitchen. And the bonus was each bedroom had its own ensuite. Which allowed privacy. Hide

Very clean, amazing walks and waterfalls locally. The rooms were individually very comfortable, could possibly have benefitted from 1 room being a bigger lounge and the other a dedicated dining room so that we didnt have to split up. The beds were really comfy and each room having its own bathroom was ace.
