Saunton Sands is less than 2 miles from your door, where hounds of all shapes and sizes can cavort together year-round on 4 miles of sweeping beach. For dogs of a more discerning nature, the National Trust’s Arlington Court (13.5 miles) is a Regency house with an impressive collection of horse-drawn vehicles set in a picturesque garden. The carriage museum, garden and wider estate are all open to man’s best friend.
