This immaculate detached house is approached down a small lane and has its own private drive. Enter the reverse-level home into a spacious entrance hall, the perfect place to hang coats and store sandy shoes after a day on the beach. Pass the four stylish bedrooms on your way to the stairs, none of which would look out of place in a 5-star hotel. Upstairs, the expansive first floor is entirely given over to an open-plan living space kitted out with the latest appliances, sumptuous seating and a contemporary wood burner that's sure to be a hit with the furry members of your group. Outside, the sense of luxury continues with a multi-level patio garden sporting sun loungers, a dining table and chairs, fire pit, BBQ and your very own Sauna hot tub. There is also an outdoor shower, ideal for washing off those sandy paws.

All the shops, restaurants and amenities of Bideford are on your doorstep in this convenient location. The Tarka Trail also passes through the town, a 180-mile walking and cycling loop that takes in some of the region's stunning woodland, rivers and open countryside. Nearby Instow (4 miles) is home to a fantastic golden-sand beach that welcomes dogs off the lead year-round. From here, a foot ferry will carry you and your canine companions across the estuary to the pretty town of Appledore, with its colourful houses and charming cobbled streets. Westward Ho! (3 miles) is another brilliant beachside destination. In the summer months, a 200-metre section of Westward Ho!’s beach is open for dogs to bound about; for the rest of the year, the entire 2-mile sweep of sand becomes their playground. Further afield, the picturesque fishing village of Clovelly is 11 miles from your door, where furry friends on leads can share the sights and sounds of rural coastal living in this beautifully preserved living time capsule.

A fantastic, clean and well proportioned property. Well equipped and with an amazing welcoming hamper too. We had such a lovely long weekend here exploring the north Devon coast line. It was a wonderful retreat to celebrate a special birthday. Communications with the owner were superb and directions were easy. We didn't want to go home.

This was for my wife's 50th birthday, communication with the hosts was outstanding, they helped so much with every question we asked. they went above and beyond with there own gifts they left for my wife. the house itself, all I can say is "PERFECT" every detail was spot on, the house and the hosts could not of done anything different to make it anRead morey better. highly recommend and we WILL be back Thank you so much, a much needed and perfect week away. We recently stayed here for a little weekend getaway for my daughters 30th birthday and we had such a wonderful stay. The house is just beautiful, quite breathtaking and is equipped with everything you could possibly need, we were also left a food hamper with lots of goodies and milk and bread, which was such a lovely touch. House is lovely. Upside down with the kitchen/dining room and lounge upstairs. Very modern and very classy. Interiors are well chosen. Property is located down a lane, which meant it was nice and quiet. Hot tub is really nice and big and well thought of to put an outside shower installed. The drive is very steep. Hyford Wood is a beautiful hi spec property with a fantastic hot tub and outdoor areas to relax in . Indoors does not disappoint and as our children are now adults and like there own space, the tvs in all bedrooms was ideal. The garden is secure. Its a short walk into Bideford town and just ten minutes drive to Westward Ho or twenty minutes to ClovRead moreelly but numerous other lovely beaches are nearby too, just too many to mention. The house left nothing wanting, the interior was laid out and furnished wonderful, the eight person hot tub was fantastic, along with the barbecue area. Yaz the owner checked all was ok, and let us know she was there if we needed anything. Fantastic place.
