Embark on a peaceful staycation in a fantastic rural setting just 4.5 miles from York, a city famed for its fascinating history and heritage. Sleeping six humans and two hounds, the property is surrounded by sweeping fields and spellbinding views. Fido will have a ball playing in the enclosed garden whilst you fire up the BBQ ready for supper, or head inside and snuggle up by the fire. The owners have thought of everything you could possibly need, and even provide a generous welcome pack for your stay.

Beneath the charming redbrick exterior is a comfortable haven that’s been lovingly styled with contemporary furniture and elegant accessories. Bask in the comfort of the wood burner as you catch up on some TV viewing in the snug, or gather the pack for board games around the table as your resident chef prepares delicious meals in the lounge/kitchen/diner. Upstairs, the three gorgeous bedrooms provide a welcome sanctuary, one of which boasts its own en-suite shower room. A fabulous bathroom with shower over the bath completes the property. Outside, the vast expanse of enclosed garden is a treat for humans and hounds alike, and there is ample parking.

Take the 4.5-mile journey into York to begin your adventures, perusing the quirky museums and enchanting cobbled streets. You’ll be spoilt for choice of where to sample local produce, which includes culinary delights such as treacle tarts, parkin and black pudding, most of which you can pick up at one of the bustling markets. A real cosy and comfortable home from home. So quiet and peaceful with Hares, birds of prey and dear as our nearest neighbours. Whilst feeling remote, it was so conveniently placed to visit so many wonderful Yorkshire places of interest. A beautiful property in a beautiful county what's not to like

A wonderful property to relax in. The two log burners are great for the winter evenings. The central heating boiler also heated the property up quickly. The views are stunning and the added bonus of it being close to York Park and Ride is great. A lovely touch was an email we received from the owner before out holiday started giving lots of detailsRead more about places to visit, eat and walk. We would certainly be happy to stay in this property again. Hide

A lovely spacious, clean and welcoming property. Comfortable beds and plenty of equipment. A small issue with one of the bathrooms which was swiftly dealt with by the owners. This did not detract from the enjoyment of the house and the area. All excellent!
