One of a small cluster of former farm buildings, this high-end holiday home is located at the end of a quiet country lane close to the wooded-valley village of Lee. Semi-detached, it extends a warm welcome from the outset – deposit outdoor gear and doggie paraphernalia in the lobby then step straight into a fabulous open-plan living area that will be the hub of your holiday. Stretch out on the plush sofa to watch TV and your pet can snooze before the wood burner-effect electric fire; when you’re peckish, the chic kitchen area is only a few pawprints away and – complemented by an adjacent utility cupboard – has all the essentials of home. Leave Rover resting and relocate to the dining suite when supper is served – the view from the window will whet your appetite for a post-prandial walk. Once your day is done, settle your four-pawed pal then retire to the first floor, where two beautiful bedrooms beckon. The first is an impressive king-size with its own TV and in-room roll-top bath. Next door, the second bedroom offers a king-size zip-and-link bed which can be presented as twins upon request. Completing the comfort is a stylish shower room. Outdoors, your holiday highlights include an enclosed, suntrap patio garden with a hot tub, furniture and BBQ – the perfect place for laid-back down-time. A shared lawn area has swings for the children to play on – if you’d like to holiday with a larger party, the neighbouring property can be booked to accommodate a further six people and one pet; please ask for details.

Enjoy gentle strolls to see the farm animals that are all around, or sniff out the trails that lead across the surrounding countryside to Lee, a small village between Woolacombe (3.5 miles) and Ilfracombe (4.5 miles). Lee sits within a deep, wooded combe known locally as Fuchsia Valley and is home to a scattering of old stone cottages, a neo-Gothic parish church, craft gallery and friendly pub. Further on, the craggy cove has rockpools and stretches of sand; follow the South West Coast Path westward from here and a rollercoaster-like route leads to the lighthouse at Bull Point.

Absolutely perfect little cottage in a great and quiet location! The cottage is beautifully furnished, very comfortable and spacious, great utilities and we loved the attention to detail in the decorating, it made our stay even more enjoyable! The bathtub and hot tub were an extra bonus, much appreciated after a long day of hiking. The barn is stunning, fantastic location, nicely finished with all your home from home mod cons. Beautiful bath in the bedroom, lovely outdoor space with a hot tub.
