This pretty fisherman’s cottage is perfectly placed in the harbour area of Brixham, within a gentle stroll of colourful tearooms, pubs and fishing boats offering trips out to sea. As you meander along the narrow lanes and catch glimpses of blue between cottages, you will want to explore this quintessential seaside village more. At every turn, you will find water bowls and dog treats on offer and coastal paths if you choose to keep walking. If you need more space for your clan, you can also book the cottage next door.

This house has been lovingly restored with white walls, exposed brickwork, creative individual touches and coastal-inspired shades. A very deceptive home over three floors, it offers space alongside privacy with a bathroom for each of the bedrooms. Relax after a day of adventure, curled up on the sofa to watch your favourite TV show, whilst your fur babies stretch out on their blankets. Empty bowls and tired dogs, a glass of wine and a good book before bed – it doesn’t get much better.

Plenty of coastal walks are at hand with the South West Coast Path a few minutes away. The dogs will love the local beaches, all less than a mile away, with space to run and splash in the waves. St Mary’s Bay is the thriving hub of dog walking, therefore, the place to be seen for a sociable hound. Fishcombe Cove is beautifully secluded and perfect for dogs and humans to paddle. Shoalstone is a fabulous family beach with no canine restrictions, a great saltwater swimming pool for safe swimming, a cafe and a Visitor Centre. There are plenty of water sports along the coast and Torquay is 8.5 miles away for independent shops and restaurants.

Small cottage in a great location. Downsides are that the walls are paper thin and we were kept awake by inconsiderate and noisy couples in the adjoining cottage. The lounge at the entrance to the property is also too small for 4 guests and cannot be used. We also had to report the lack of cleanliness back to the owners as they are using a cleaningRead more company who are doing a terrible job. Hide

Great cosy cottage in a great location. One of the comfiest beds I have stayed in. Great shower room on the bottom floor with powerful hot water. Road noise could be an issue if you want to have a lie in in the morning, but for us it wasn't a problem. 2 good friendly pubs within a minutes walk, and only 2 minutes to the harbour. The cottage was spotlessly clean and in a good location. What spoilt it for us was the terrible smell which hit us as soon as we entered the property. The person who gave us the key code said in a text that there was a damp problem in the ground floor. Whilst we were unsure whether the smell was damp or something organic, the damp suggestion was baRead morecked up by clothes which were left downstairs overnight and which were wet by the morning. Perfect long weekend property in the heart of Brixham. Well equipped and value for money. It is a quirky layout, but well done considering the restrictions the property provides. We were looking for a cheaper get away with a family of 4 and so the compromise in space and layout are reflected in the price.
