This lovingly converted barn is set amongst the picturesque Devonshire countryside and welcomes four guests and two canine companions. With contemporary and characterful styling, two outdoor areas, and far-reaching views of the surrounding countryside, this is a delightful home-from-home.

The owners of this home have put tonnes of thought into converting the barn into a welcoming and dog-friendly holiday home. A light and bright entrance hall provides plenty of space for storing walking boots and dog leads. Head upstairs to the first floor of this reverse-level home and find an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner which has a beautiful apex ceiling with exposed beams. A large picture window frames stunning views, beside the dining table. Cook up delicious meals in the kitchen, before curling up on the sofas and getting stuck into a movie or good book as the dogs snooze by your feet. A handy WC is situated on this floor, too. When you are ready to let sleeping dogs lie, choose from the two bedrooms to rest your head, a king-size bedroom with an en-suite shower room, or a twin zip-and-link bedroom with an en-suite bathroom. A useful utility room is also provided if you need to clean up any dog towels while you are away. Outside, you will have two spaces to enjoy the views from. To the front, a patio with a bistro set and a hose for boot and dog-washing, and to the side, a fully enclosed garden with further outdoor seating and a BBQ.

Set in a rural spot, you can enjoy pure tranquillity amidst stunning views, and several walking routes and bridleways that lead directly from the barn. For amenities and a bite to eat, visit the market town of Tiverton (3 miles) which also has a pretty canal you can walk beside. The fabulous Exmoor National Park (12 miles) has a further range of walking routes, and some beautiful views.

  • 2 bedrooms – 1 king-size and 1 twin zip-and-link (can be made into a super-king-size on request)
  • 2 bathrooms – 1 en-suite shower room with shower and WC, and 1 en-suite bathroom with a shower over bath and WC, 1 separate WC
  • Electric oven, induction hob, microwave, dishwasher, Nespresso coffee machine, fridge and freezer
  • Utility room with washer/dryer
  • Welcome pack for your arrival
  • Fast fibre broadband (150mbps)
  • Highchair and travel cot – please bring your own cot linen
  • Smart TV in the lounge area
  • USB charging points in both bedrooms and on the kitchen island
  • South-east-facing patio next to the entrance door with a bistro set of table and chairs
  • Enclosed garden with seating area, table and chairs and gas BBQ
  • Supermarkets deliver to this address for your holiday
  • Private parking for 2 cars
  • Shops 3 miles and pub 1.5 mile
  • Electric vehicle charging on site

The view from the kitchen window out across the Devon Countryside was very pleasant, though that is all that I can say about this place that was pleasant. The arrival was greeted by a statement from the host Mark that it had been raised by a previous guest, that the stairways were in need of handrails for safety. This was immediately evident, and wRead moreith the highly polished bare wood floors was extremely dangerous for both myself and companion doggy who was repeatedly slipping and injuring himself. It took the owner two weeks to attend, partially, to this problem. There is no enclosed garden area for either guest or pets. The main entrance has no handrails and then there is a lane to cross before entering the socolled private garden. I had a very bad fall trying to negotiate the outside entrance and was on the ground for two hours. The visiting Medical Staff, the following morning, also commented that the open staircase at lounge level should not be allowed as anyone slipping, fainting, or for whatever reason would fall over a below waist height barrier and sustain a potentially life threatening injury. The property is currently very unacceptable for comfortable living, and requires a rethink that is carried out by professionals and not by the property owners, who are amateur and lack the legal skills and expertise required. I personally found that the male owner was unacceptably intrusive and even embarrassed my visiting Podiatrist/Carer Hide
