Enjoy the comfort of this delightful cottage at the heart of Exmoor National Park with your four-legged friend, swapping the stresses of modern life for spectacular scenery and complete solitude. Warmed throughout by underfloor heating and finished in a traditional country-cottage style, it’s perfect for up to six guests with two canine companions in tow. The handy location means that you could soon be scampering across the romantic wilderness of Exmoor, splashing through crystal-clear streams, meandering through ancient woodland, and scaling dramatic hills at leisure.

Accessed via a small ford, this detached cottage is as enchanting as it is cosy. Light the wood burner and relax in the lounge whilst supper cooks in the kitchen/diner, teasing the hound with the delicious smells wafting through. There is also a snug room and a separate WC on the ground floor. When it is time for bed, three gorgeous bedrooms are upstairs along with an elegant bathroom that boasts a fantastic roll-top bath. One of the bedrooms has the added treat of an en-suite shower room.  Outside, the sunny patio is a haven for al fresco drinks, and there are steps leading down to an enclosed lawn bordering a stream. Please be mindful of young children and pets by the stream and pond. No need to worry about messy paws, there’s a utility room in the property that can be accessed through a separate door.

Clip-on Rover’s lead and let him sniff for rabbits as you hike up to Dunkery Beacon 5 miles away, or enjoy a waterside stroll around the Tarr Steps, which are a 5-mile drive in the opposite direction. Venturing further afield by 6 miles will bring you to charming Withypool, a village known for its pretty tearoom and unspoilt surroundings, but if you are in the mood for some retail therapy, the historic town of Dunster is just 8 miles away.

Cottage was in a beautiful location very peaceful but easy to get to many areas in f interest. It was immaculately presented, very comfortable and well equipped. Being able to walk from the front door was lovely and coming into a utility/ boot room very useful.

A lovely cottage in Exmoor National Park, we were made to feel very welcome and had a really nice week at Bailiffs cottage. The pictures do not do the place justice, its really nice, large bedrooms, lovely bathrooms and a great place to stay. We would highly recommend staying at Bailiffs cottage.

A lovely cottage in a secluded location, accessed via a narrow lane that passes over a ford...such an interesting place! The cottage itself is very well equipped, but does have quite a few steps up from the parking area, so you just need to be aware. Altogether, a very peaceful location in a lovely part of the World!
