With a 3-acre field specifically for dog walking, this impressive country house takes the lead for special celebrations or holidays with friends, including four-legged ones, in the North Devon countryside. The ‘Little White Town’ of Bideford (1.5 miles) is within easy reach where you can join the Tarka Trail for traffic-free walks or explore the fragrant flowers of Victoria Park.

This magnificent Georgian property will get tails wagging with its acres of parkland and woodland, spacious rooms and wonderful views. You have three reception rooms, all individually designed with relaxation in mind. Play board games in the library, enjoy the latest blockbuster in the lounge or curl up with a good book and your hound in the morning room as logs blaze in the wood burner. The farmhouse kitchen is a cook’s dream with everything you need to create delicious dinners. For formal dining, share meals in the elegant dining room underneath the chandeliers. There are 11 luxurious bedrooms, all enjoying en-suite facilities, one of which is situated on the ground floor. Venturing outside, the property nestles in about 5 acres of park and woodland. Enjoy an al fresco meal at the two large picnic benches. There is also croquet, an on-site tennis court, and games room with ping pong table and pool table. There is also a 3-acre enclosed field in front of the main house available for exercising your four-legged friends off the lead.

Ideally situated to explore the North Devon coast and countryside, there are many dog-friendly attractions within easy reach. Bound along the beach and sand dunes at Instow (5 miles) where dogs are welcome all year round. Explore the spectacular gardens of Tapeley Park (4.5 miles) or National Trust-owned Arlington Court (20 miles). Discover the rock pools and coastal path at Westward Ho! (4.5 miles) and enjoy a drink in one of the dog-friendly pubs.

Wow!!! What an amazing place. We had the most perfect weekend away in this fabulous house. The weekend was made even more special by Hannah, the owner. The pre-arrival information was extremely comprehensive and helped enormously with booking food, entertainment, activities, and more. Every spacious bedroom has its own bathroom, which was key for uRead mores of an older age! The lounging areas, games rooms, and dining facilities were all perfect for our celebrations. 1 of the best properties we have stayed in and as a family of 24 there are not many that can house us, and we have stayed in most of them. So spacious with everything you could wish for in a property. Favourite part was the outside seated area with 2 fire pits, endless supply of firewood, and amazing views.

Excellent venue. The 2 kitchens made catering for 18 people so straightforward. This really is a truly spacious property and provides a magnificent space to enjoy with friends and family. The owners have thought of pretty much everything.
