This charming property sleeps four guests and two dogs. Right in the heart of Exmoor, you can escape the humdrum of everyday life and soak up the breathtaking views across open fields. In every direction you’ll find interesting walks, with plenty for your furry companions to sniff and explore, and you’ll be within easy reach of some of Exmoor’s finest attractions, such as Tarr Steps and Dunster, as well as the picturesque villages of Lynton and Lynmouth.

On a cool night you can get cosy in the lounge, and the dogs can doze in front of the wood burner. Or, on a summer’s evening, throw open the stable door and take in the far-reaching views. There are two steps down to the kitchen/diner, where you can all sit around the table to plan your day’s adventures. Hard floors throughout downstairs make cleaning up pawprints easy. Outside, there’s a beautiful enclosed garden and you’ll also find a decked area with seating, to sit back and relax after a day on the moor. There’s an outdoor hose and sink for washing muddy paws and, should you need it, a kennel and run.

You’ll not be disappointed by the amount on offer nearby. Just 9 miles away, in Minehead, you can pick up the beginning of the 630-mile South West Coast Path. The section from Minehead towards Porlock takes you through fascinating woodlands, cliffs and farm tracks. After a long walk, take a welcome rest in The Old Ship Aground, which boasts fabulous views across Minehead harbour. The historic village of Dunster (8.6 miles away) also makes a great day out. Your furry friends are welcome in the grounds of the castle and there are some wonderful dog-friendly eateries, including The Stags Head Inn.

Nice cottage in a beautiful location. We had two boarder terriers with us and they enjojed the small garden and stream, and we liked it was fully enclosed. We also enjoyed having access to the small fields adjacent, for an evening stroll. The cottage is set in a very peaceful location and in a beautiful setting. While remote it is not far from lRead moreocal pub and amenities and a good base for travel around Exmoor. We went to Dulverton, Lynmouth, Lynton, Bossington and Porlock as well as numerous small hamlets and villages in the heart of the park. Good walk up on the moor and beautiful river valleys at Horner, Dulverton and East Lyn and a lovely walk around Bossington Hill and beach. Hide

Cottage was generally fine. Different to home is always a challenge, but easily adapted to in this case. Loved the big bed, hot water was impressive. Toilet a bit difficult if you're over 6' tall. Only 2 adults on this booking. Wouldn't have been comfortable with 4 adults & 2 dogs. Excellent location for peaceful idyll and great for accessing ExmooRead morer Hide

A very peaceful and comfortable cottage in a beautiful location. It was a great base for exploring the Exmoor area. We would recommend stopping off at the local village shop In Wheddon Cross before arrival as the cottage does not provide a welcome pack on arrival- a small pint of milk would have been very welcome after our long journey.
