You don’t get much more dog-friendly than this characterful cottage located in the peaceful Norfolk village of Whissonsett. With space for up to ten guests, it’s a fantastic choice for larger families or groups of friends travelling with their dogs. You’ll be surrounded by peaceful Norfolk countryside and scenic routes, making sniff-tastic walkies possible right from your front door.
Inside, the two-storey cottage blends heritage features with a comfortable and modern feel. You’ll enter into a spacious hallway where you can leave coats, boots and dog leads, with a handy ground-floor shower room on one side. The bright kitchen has a skylight for plenty of light plus a breakfast bar for perching with tea or wine. A separate dining room has bi-fold doors so you can let fresh air (and pets) flow in and out on warmer days. The two lounges, both with Smart TVs, provide plenty of space for your group to unwind – the first has a cosy wood burner where pets can warm their fur, then there’s a snug with a sofa bed for two extra guests if needed. There’s also a dedicated dog crate room, a cosy library with seating and books, and a small bar area for relaxed evenings. Upstairs are your four bedrooms – one super-king-size, one double and two twins – along with a family bathroom featuring a slipper bath. There’s oodles of space for relaxing outside, too, with a patio and outdoor furniture for dining, plus a separate tranquillity garden with planting, seating and a water feature (dogs may need supervision here). You’ll have private parking for three cars.
The nearby market towns of Fakenham (5 miles) and Dereham (8.5 miles) provide handy spots for supplies and a bite to eat. Head to Wells-next-the-Sea (15 miles) for sandy beaches and coastal paths perfect for long strolls or plan a day out in the historic city of Norwich (23 miles).
