Sleeping 10 guests, the five-bedroom, farmhouse nestles in beautiful gardens on a working farm, 1 mile from the charming Welsh Georgian town and close to footpaths through the Black Mountains. Accessed along a gated lane it enjoys spectacular views, it could suit a dog-loving extended family group or party of friends eager to spend time in the magnificent national park.

Call your four-legged friend into this airy period home that combines elegance and character with modern day comfort. Take him through to the kitchen/diner to feed him and make yourself a cup of fresh coffee. Open the doors on to the garden on sunny days, fire up the wood burner if it’s chilly and lay the table for everyone to gather round. Spread out into the lounge to warm yourselves beside the wood burner while you watch the Smart TV or play games. Also downstairs, are a family shower room and a boot room. Head up to the first floor to the comfortable double bedroom or one of the four sumptuous, king-sizes. A beautifully renovated farmhouse in a wonderful location to enjoy the best of Wales. Perfect for a family gathering and so well equipped with a large amount of cooking utensils and crockery. Everything has been thought of to make for a perfect stay. Communication with the owner was easy and he was exceptionally friendly and accommodating.

We hired the property for a family get together for a big birthday for one of the members. The Wern met and exceeded our expectations and we heard a few 'wows' and I'd like to live here comments on arrival. The house was spacious and comfortable with the most amazing views from the windows. We loved Crickhowell. and got to enjoy a number of its shoRead moreps, pubs and cafes. It was well located to visit local attractions and it was great to be able to go for walks just by stepping outside the door and several of our party tackled Table Mountain which could be seen from the house. The outdoor facilities were equally good and a spell of unexpected warm weather meant that we were actually able to use the barbecue. The log burners provided a cosy fire as the evenings cooled. All in all The Wern provided a comfortable base for an extremely enjoyable holiday for 3 generations of family. WE hope to return one day. Hide

A truly wonderful cottage! Our second time there with extended family. Plenty of space and very thoughtfully appointed without being fussy. The cottage was very clean and comfortable, and the kitchen was well equipped. The location is great with walks straight from the front door, and its a short walk or drive down a hill into the town. We all really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back.

What a wonderful place. The cottage is beautiful, traditional yet with every modern facility we needed. The views are spectacular, made all the more by Daisy the cow and her two twin calves Buttercup and Clover who visited us over the fence each morning. We will definitely be back.
