Close to Ashbourne, Alton Towers, the Peak District and Carsington Water, you won’t run out of things to do while you’re staying here. The house is in the perfect place for friends or family who want to get together for holiday adventures and treat themselves to a bit of luxury, with their pampered pooch by their side.

The house is immaculate and everything in it is practically brand new with the house having been built in 2021. All of the rooms have a clean sleek design and give you plenty of space to spread out and relax. The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner is uber stylish and spacious and connects to the garden. There are three bedrooms that sleep five humans, two bathrooms and a handy downstairs cloakroom. Outside, you and your canine companion can enjoy playing in the fresh air with awesome views of the Derbyshire countryside, whilst you soak in the hot tub you have hired for your stay.

You’ll probably need some sort of itinerary to fit everything into your trip… for thrill seekers and adrenaline addicts, Alton Towers is only 6.5 miles away. Ashbourne, a lovely market town and the gateway to the Peak District, is 8 miles away – give yourself some time to potter around the shops and historic alleyways before heading off for a walk. If you’re not sure where to go, Dovedale is stunning, and the stepping-stones are definitely worth seeing or you can head off along the 13-mile Tissington Trail which starts in Ashbourne. From the cottage, pop out to the village pub for a lovely Sunday roast, where dogs are welcome in the bar and outside. Water sports enthusiasts, walkers and cyclists will enjoy a trip to Carsington water, 14.5 miles away, where you can get involved in all sorts of activities and there’s a circular walk of about 8.5 miles, too.

We have had a fantastic stay at Forget Me Knot Cottage. The cottage is spotlessly clean, and comes with beautiful bed linen and large towels. The kitchen is very well equipped, has a microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, coffee machine, gas hob and it even has a cheese board!!!! There is also a dog friendly pub in the village, 5 mins walk from thRead moree cottage. We cannot find any faults at all with this property and have thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Lovely stay at forget me not cottage. It was very convenient for walking in Dovedale, the Tissington trail and a trip to Alton towers. The pub in the village had good food and very friendly atmosphere. The chocolate Swiss roll and milk left for us on arrival was a really nice touch!

We had a fantastic 3 night stay. The house is spotless, well equipped and very comfortable. The local pub was perfect for first night dinner. We had a day at Alton towers and a couple of days walking and exploring Peak District towns and National Trust properties.

Awesome cottage in a stunning location. The owners are really friendly and made us feel right at home. Our fur friend really enjoyed the accommodation and it was really secure. Would highly recommend it when visiting Peak District, it has fabulous walks right at the door step!

This property lived up to our expectations based on previous reviews. It is warm, bright, well equipped and spacious. The view from the back of the property is fabulous. We ate twice at the local pub (The Crown) including Sunday Lunch. We were glad we had booked in advance as it was very busy. Absolutely stunning property. We had a delightful 2 night stay. Superbly equipped kitchen with Espresso machine, modern design throughout the house with 3 bathrooms. Shower in ensuite bathroom was exceptional. Beds were very comfortable and bedrooms spacious. Location is great for exploring Peak District, only 30 minutes from Thor's Cave.

Lovely very well presented property in a quiet cul de sac. Has everything you need for your stay. Bed was super comfortable , will definitely return when back in the area. The guide was very helpful recommending good walks and pubs especially the Bluebell inn!
