Book a superb stay at this handsome stone barn near Challacombe in Devon and bring your best furry friends with you. Up to two dogs can join four of their outdoor-loving owners at this two-bedroom holiday home, set within 1500 acres of farmland, in the magnificent Exmoor National Park. Take in picturesque views as you head out on long walks with your contented canines by your side. Return to relax in your enclosed garden, stopping at the village pub, where they welcome four-legged customers with open paws.

Climb four steps into the hall and then venture up the main stairs, which emerge into the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Let Rex and Rover explore their new home while you make a cup of tea and fill their water bowls in the kitchen area. Spend your evenings watching the Smart TV while also giving your furry friends plenty of holiday attention. A utility room with a useful washer/dryer is also on this level while the two super-king-size bedrooms, with zip-and-link beds that can be arranged in advance as twins (one with an en-suite shower room) are on the floor below, together with the family bathroom. Open the kitchen door to let your happy hounds bound out into the sunshine of the enclosed garden. Sizzle supper on the BBQ and/or the outside wood burner while they chase about, or just relax and star gaze in the fantastic wood fired hot tub. You’ll also find parking for two cars at the barn.

Enjoy wildlife walks with your furry friends by your side. Look out for red deer and a plethora of birdlife as you go. Burn off some energy with coastal walks too. Pick up a section of the South West Coast Path, about 10 miles away. Attempt a circular route, taking in a 10-mile stretch of the long-distance path in the Lynton and Lynmouth area with some spectacular coastal and inland views.

  • 2 bedrooms – 2 super-king-size-zip-and-link (which can be made up as twins on request at the point of booking)

Absolutely beautiful little cottage. Very comfortable. We liked the living quarters being upstairs, leading on to the private patio and grassy area - great to see the cows! The farm itself is situated in a lovely area with accessibility to Exmoor for fabulous walking and visiting local towns and sights. Would highly recommend!

Perfect in every way! Location great for visiting north Devon and some fabulous walks from the back door of the Dairy Barn. Hot tub a bonus and worth the wait to heat it up in the Winter. Local pub, the Black Venus a must! Its a short walk but if walking at night bring a torch. Owners very welcoming. I cant fault it and would love to return.
