We were with a big family group and the property really suited the occasion. Dont expect everything to be really clean, but considering the size thats impossible.

Lovely house, bigger than we expected. Newly refurbished bathrooms and a well appointed kitchen. We very much enjoyed our stay and would recommend the house for a large group (we had a family group of 15) There is a good outside area and snooker room although a bit cold for that when we stayed - it all looked lovely in the snow though.

The property was probably a Manor House in a previous life. There were numerous bedrooms, plus a large kitchen, lounge and dining room. The lounge had an open fire which was lit with logs. The house was surrounded by fields and transport is essential for sightseeing and shopping. Uttoxeter is close by which has a bowling alley, shops etc. Our familRead morey (including the dogs) throughly enjoyed our stay and welcomed visitors several times. We would not hesitate to stay once again. Hide

Little snags shared with owner but would return to this characterful house. Earthy and homely Great if youre a hunter as lots of shoots about. Pubs a while away.

The house was just right for our family group of eleven. The children were aged twelve to three and loved playing hide and seek and playing chase around the house with the little truck. The rooms were such that the family with younger children had their own separate area for sleeping. The house was lovely and there was plenty of space for 15 people. It is in a nice rural setting which was very peaceful and the road to the house was kept very well so not too hard to drive to. Rooms were all comfy and well kept. Generally well kept although some bits could do with a refresh. We had a fun time because of the company but the property is very basic and I didnt feel VFM. It was musty, generally neglected but we made the best of 13 of us being together ! Plenty of room and facilities for 2 grandparents, 4 children plus partners and 4 grandchildren. The provision of a second lounge, mainly used by the children, was a bonus point!
