A home away from home for your entire pack, this spacious henhouse conversion offers accommodation for ten guests and up to five dogs. Surrounded by beautiful countryside, including the sprawling Brecon Beacons National Park, this is an ideal rural retreat for keen walkers, whether they have two legs or four! And with underfloor heating to warm toes and paws, and no stairs for tired feet (all rooms are on the ground floor), you’ll be able to spend evenings warm and relaxed before heading out the next day.
The two sides of this incredible property are joined by a corridor between the living areas. There are two bright and airy open-plan lounge/kitchen/dining areas, each with sofas, a coffee table, and a well-equipped kitchen. When it comes to mealtimes, you have a choice of seating, either opting for the charming pine table with benches (an excellent choice for a lazy breakfast), or the smart walnut dining table and chairs (well suited to a formal dinner). Both living areas have doors, bi-fold or French, which open directly out onto a patio area and the garden beyond. A stylish country charm carries throughout the property, including into the bedrooms which each come with their own unique en-suite.
To enjoy the countryside scenery and fresh air, you don’t have to set one foot off the property. Enclosed lawns provide wonderful spaces for a game of fetch or a kick about in the sun which your canine companions will adore, while others retire to the garden furniture or hammock to cool down. For the adventurous, there are footpaths and cycle routes straight from the door, as well as easy access to the Skirrid (4 miles) and the Sugar Loaf (7 miles), local mountains which are both rated as moderate dog-friendly walks with a few steep climbs. Day trips out include Abergavenny (4.5 miles), White Castle (5 miles), and Grosmont Castle (6.5 miles).
