Welcomed by a handful of goodies, you can feel right at home at this rural retreat which sits close to the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Guests both two- and four-legged can enjoy this fabulous bolthole which boasts a courtyard for evening tipples and morning tail wags. Venture outside to explore the surrounding beauty or while away your time cosying up inside.

A spacious open-plan living area creates the hub of the house. Stretch out on the sofa whilst your furry friend sprawls at your feet as you enjoy the warmth thrown out by the wood burner effect electric fire which promises to keep toes and paws toasty. Exposed beams overhead add charm and character which flows through into the kitchen/diner area. Rustle up tasty treats and titbits and dine in style at the table; if the sun shines and evenings are warm head outside and dine in the private courtyard. The ground-floor utility room is a great place to tousle down muddy fur and wash any favourite holiday outfits. Ascend to the first floor where two bedrooms are pleasantly decorated and invite you to switch off and unwind after a long day. Both rooms have en-suites with showers over the bath so you can freshen up quickly or soak aching muscles.

Pop on a lead and head 9 miles to the National Trust’s Attingham Park where furry guests are invited to sniff around the Deer Park and mansion outskirts. For tasty eateries, a wander by the river and a bustling atmosphere, visit the ancient medieval market town of Shrewsbury, 8 miles from home. Just 7.5 miles away, Church Stretton is home to many a wonderful walk with stick-chasing spots for canine chums.
