Gather the gang and have a ball in this beautiful holiday cottage. Situated on the edge of the River Dart, you’ll be ideally placed to explore the best Devon has to offer. You’ll have room for two families and three dogs or a mixed group, but the most important thing is everyone’s invited for a lovely trip.
This property has four floors, each with areas looking over the mouth of the river. As you enter, you’ll find the social spaces: a lounge with a huge bay window, bathed in natural light, a kitchen/diner for delicious meals and the games room/conservatory. It’s equipped with a pool table – because dogs aren’t the only ones who like playing with balls. Head up the stairs to find one double room with an en-suite bathroom and one twin room on the first floor, then a double room on the second floor and a twin and family shower room on the third floor. There’s a patio outside with furniture so you can dine, read or enjoy a drink in the sunshine.
You’ll be staying on the edge of Dartmouth, about a mile from the centre of town to the north and a mile to Dartmouth Castle in the south. Both places are well worth a visit: Dartmouth has plenty of dog-friendly cafes and eateries with delicious food for you and perhaps a little treat for four-legged friends. Dartmouth Castle allows dogs in the grounds, and then it’s about 100 metres over to Sugary Cove Beach. This is the closest beach, but there are plenty more around to explore, so bring your swimming costume. For walkies, visit the Little Dartmouth National Trust Reserve (1.5 miles), where you’ll find beautiful wildflowers and the ruins of a Civil War hillfort.
Please be aware that to access the lift there are approximately 20-25 steps from the car park to the lift. Once you exit the lift you will need to go down a flight of stairs.
Due to the nature of the access to the property, we advise that this property is not suitable for small children and those with restricted mobility.
