Up to four family and friends can share this fabulous accommodation converted from a former farm building in rural Kent. One lucky furry chum can join you to make it a holiday to remember. Part of a small complex, with adjoining properties, it makes an ideal destination for walkies in the stunning Kent Downs.
This cleverly refurbished retreat offers an open-plan living space with high ceilings and ancient beams. This comprises a comfortable lounge area, kitchen with all mod cons and a dining table easily seating four. The accommodation is all on one level and, with one double and one twin bedroom, provides good flexibility. Sit outside at your private patio area that’s part of the communal courtyard. Settle old scores with family or friends in the communal games room on-site: take your pick from pool or table tennis.
If you and your hound are outward bound, then head for the shingle beach of Hythe (10.5 miles) which is generally dog-friendly, but do check for any seasonal restrictions. Hop aboard a steam train on the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway. Don’t worry, the dog can come too! The beautiful Kent Downs National Landscape offers plenty of footpaths and stunning places to discover including Denge and Pennypot Wood. Admire the bluebells in spring and White Lady Orchids in summer. Dogs are welcomes for walkies, but do observe the code of conduct and keep them in sight, under control and on a lead where indicated. Take a trip to explore the historic town of Ashford (9.5 miles), stocking up with supplies or just enjoying a meal out or a drink while you’re there. The city of Canterbury (10.5 miles) offers medieval history, independent shops and pubs as well as its famous cathedral.
