Absolutely fantastic place to get away from it all. You can snuggly up in front of the stove thanks to the plentiful fire wood provided and never leave or alternatively use this lovely hut as a base to plan adventures into the Forest of Dean from.

We had a wonderful weekend stay at The Star Gazer. It was just what we needed- cozy and relaxing. The hut is in a private field. There is an undercover building which has a mini kitchen and toilet/shower. Under this is an old gypsy wagon which we loved. The Host Louise was very accommodating and friendly. She gave us milk and firewood on arrival. TRead morehere are deer's on site, an orchard walk and a tennis court. Overall a highly recommended stay! Thank you, we would definitely visit again. Hide

Great and simple place.... We were given a lovely welcome by Louise, and then uninterrupted for our stay. The hut and kitchen has all the basics, we loved having the little firebox in the hut, just what we needed. And the outdoor fire pit was well used and loved. We had a lovely walk through the town, and a walk through the first at the back of theRead more property, very pretty and seemingly ancient. Hide

Amazingingly cosy shepherd's hut in a private area of the site. Lovely views of the early evening with the top of the stable door open. Lots of open space for a walk. A folder containing a large array of leaflets was incredibly helpful in providing activities for my stay. Great location. It was absolute perfection, I've never stayed anywhere where I've felt so welcomed and at home. The undercover area, for the use of The Stargazer guests, was a stroke of genius and I was inspired by it! Thank you so much to Louise and Frank, for sharing your beautiful home so generously, we can't wait to visit again!

What a lovely few days! Had a very warm welcome on arriving and instantly fell in love with the place as soon as I saw it. They really have thought of everything. Perfect place for me and my dog Frank to relax, and felt safe too, which is always important when you're a lone female. 100% will go back again. Thank you Louise and Frank.
