The lodge is one of two barns in a complex and would suit a larger or extended family as well as a group of friends up for exploring one of our finest National Parks.
The sitting room is a sumptuous space with three comfortable sofas, a piano and small table for writing or playing cards and a striking floor-to-apex exposed stone chimney breast, complete with inglenook and cosy wood burner. The cathedral ceiling has an exposed wooden frame for added rustic charm. The kitchen is equally show-stopping with a large island unit, beams, Aga and an informal dining table. The classic dining room with its beamed ceiling is a more formal place to come together for a meal. One king-size bedroom is downstairs but the other two are upstairs and one has a zip-and-link bed, so it can be configured as a twin room upon request. Outside, the enclosed garden is also sizeable with a large furnished patio, BBQ and extensive lawns for kids and the pooch to go mutts chasing each other.
For keen walkers this location is brilliant, with miles of signed footpaths nearby. Parsley Hay bike hire centre is also just 2 miles away, so lead the way to adventure with your canine companion. Hartington village (4 miles) is a brilliant service hub with shops, eateries and pubs. Chatsworth House is 16 miles away and, while dogs can’t go inside the house, they are allowed on leads in the garden and park.
