Situated in a pretty village within Exmoor National Park, this cottage is the perfect location for families and friends, alongside their canine companion, to explore the awe-inspiring landscape. Frolic through glorious moorland with your dog by your side, letting the wind rush by from the peaks of the high tors. Take long walks on the area's beautiful beaches and discover medieval villages nestled amongst ancient woodland, crisscrossed with walking trails full of interesting sights, sounds and smells.

Elevated from the roadside, this modern home is stylishly decorated throughout. The open-plan kitchen/diner offers plenty of space for meals with the whole family, and the enclosed patio with gravelled garden and contemporary seating is a safe space to let little legs roam. Snuggle up for an evening in the comfortable lounge before retiring to one of three welcoming bedrooms, or your basket, for a well-deserved rest.

The sweeping shingle and sand of Blue Anchor Beach is 2 miles from your door, where four-legged friends are welcomed year-round with no lead required. Combine a full-speed blast along the shore with a visit to the dog-friendly beachfront pub at the eastern end of the bay. If your hound is into history, the National Trust's Dunster Castle and Watermill are 2.5 miles away, where they can visit the gardens, watermill shop and tearoom or take a walk on the lead in the surrounding parkland. Dogs are welcomed across the whole of Exmoor National Park. Virtually anything you want to enjoy on your visit to Exmoor, your pup can too. From coast to countryside and beyond, take in some beautiful woodland walks, riverside rambles, and wander the stunning beaches and South West Coast Path.

Title / Subject: Misleading Listing & Issues During Stay at Applejack Cottage Dear [Platform/Host], We are disappointed with our recent stay at Applejack Cottage (OC-87069) from Tuesday 17th, 1:30 PM to Thursday 19th, 10:30 AM. 1. Sleeping arrangements were misleading The website listed: one King bed, one double bed, and a childrens room (we assumeRead mored two single beds). In reality: the childrens room had only one small single bed, and the King bed was actually two single beds pushed together. As a result, five people could not sleep comfortably: my elderly parent slept on the King bed, my husband had to sleep on the sofa, I slept alone on the small single bed, and my two daughters shared the double bed. 2. Kitchen supplies were expired / inadequate The coffee beans were past their expiration date (2024). One bottle of cooking oil was almost empty, and the other had expired (January 2026). My elderly parent even drank some coffee, but fortunately did not get sick. For a stay costing 650, we expected the advertised beds and basic kitchen facilities to be in proper condition. We feel misled by the listing and photos. We hope this feedback will be taken seriously and that appropriate compensation will be considered. Photos of the coffee and oils are attached as evidence. Kind regards, Mr. Kelly Hide

Well equipped holiday home. Beds were comfortable and the house was warm even when we switched the heating off. Large parking space for 2 cars. Walked to Dunster and Blue Anchor from the house, (Blue Anchor walk along public bridleway be aware of a couple of fallen trees). Great holiday, even the weather was kind.

The house is lovely. The area is lovely. The equipment in the house was great. Plenty of places near by to visit. Dunster and Dunster Castle are well worth a visit. If you visit the castle check out the Victorian kitchen, attic tour and servant quarters. These are extras on top of the castle entry fee. The steam train from Minehead is worth a trip.
