Winchcombe boasts many independent shops, delicatessens, pubs, and restaurants, and you can set tails wagging with a walk along the Winchcombe Way; if your pup likes woods, take the eastern loop following the Farmcote Valley before entering Guiting Wood.

Access this superb reverse-level apartment from the bustling high street into the covered walkway that offers access to the front door. The furnishings and decor are calming, and the pictures reflect the local area. A spacious hallway leads to the two downstairs bedrooms, one super-king-size with a Smart TV and en-suite shower and a king-size with a Smart TV. There is also a downstairs bathroom. A staircase leads to the first-floor open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, which enjoys plenty of natural light with views across the rooftops onto the surrounding countryside. In the lounge area is a large corner sofa where you can gather for a film in front of the Smart TV while your pup snoozes. The dining area is thoughtfully positioned by the window to enjoy the view while eating. Head up one step to the contemporary kitchen area with everything to make meal preparation a breeze. Although there is no outside area, the Wicnhcombe Way is on your doorstep.

The area is a haven for keen walkers, with Cleeve Hill (10 miles) nearby. Cerney House Garden (18.5 miles) is a hidden gem where your pup can take the lead to explore the nature trail. Gloucestershire and Warwickshire Steam Railway (1 mile) is a great experience for all ages, with plenty of different scents for your hound to enjoy. Explore the famous Cotswold villages, including Broadway and Stow-on-the-Wold, less than 15 miles away. The walk up to the view from Broadway Tower is a must and will set tails wagging.

Ideal location to undertake walks in the area. Grocery shop and pub/restaurants are very close by. It has a well-equipped kitchen for self-catering. The property helpfully has a washer/dryer unit and clothes horse. The entrance area caters well for walkers. Access to the property is via a fire-escape style staircase. This is a really well presented cottage. The location in Winchcombe is great with lovely amenities nearby. Very restful.

We had a great stay at The Nest, which had everything we needed for our short stay. A very cosy and comfortable apartment in a very convenient location for the high street, pubs, Sudeley Castle and walks. The apartment was ideal for 4 adults, offering privacy in the sleeping and bathroom areas and a great open plan communal area for the evenings.Read more Hide

Everything is available for cooking and cleaning and general comfort. Parking is a challenge till after 5 o'clock. Stairs may be challenging for really disabled people Overall good accommodation

This is a really lovely property in a gorgeous area. Its high street location is perfect for getting around. The property is clean, comfortable and well equipped. The internal and external stairs are steep but we managed without issue. There is no parking but free or cheap parking available close by.

The Nest has had a lot of attention to detail in order to make the space as comfortable as possible and is very well equipped. All the stairs were a challenge for us as we are in our 80s but we knew about them before we booked and felt we could just about manage them for the time we were there. The Nest is a fabulous self catering property in the charming village of Winchcombe. The apartment is clean, spacious and well equipped. Could not fault anything! Great location, comfy and would recommend but you need to be fit and able bodied for the steps both inside and outside the property.
