The gorgeous property is surrounded by rich pastures and meadows and is the perfect place to escape with your loved one and favourite furry friend. Enjoy a stroll on the owner’s land or stride out along one of the many public footpaths that wind through the surrounding countryside. Head to Hereford (11 miles away), where you’ll find characterful buildings, an impressive cathedral and plenty of woof-friendly eateries. Nearby National Trust properties include Berrington Hall (6.5 miles away), where the pup can join you for a potter around the elegant parklands, and the medieval manor at Brockhampton (12.5 miles away).

The single-storey accommodation is tucked to the side of the owner’s home, with its own private entrance. The porch provides somewhere to store boots and opens onto the spacious lounge, which has been decorated with local artwork and stylish furnishings. On a chilly evening, fire up the wood burner and snuggle up on the comfy sofa, with your canine chum curled at your feet. The summer room is the perfect place for the woofer to have a siesta after a walk and is also a lovely spot to enjoy a morning coffee whilst looking out over the garden. Outside, there’s a delightful enclosed garden, where Fido can stretch his legs, as well as a patio and BBQ.

Hereford is a charming city. The majority of its centre is traffic free and there’s a lovely grassed area around the cathedral where you can walk the hound and eat a picnic. Spend the day at Croft Castle (10 miles away), where you can amble around the 1,500 acres of historic woodland, farm and parkland with the hound. You can also take a scenic stroll to the fascinating Iron Age fort, where you’ll be treated to views towards the Brecon Beacons.
