Escape to the West Wales coast in this stylish, two-storey apartment in the heart of New Quay. The pet-friendly retreat welcomes four guests and is perfect for couples and small families seeking a traditional seaside getaway. Enjoy walks with the hound along the Wales Coast Path, or join one of the boat trips from the harbour to go dolphin spotting along the heritage coastline.
Step into the shared entrance of this brightly-coloured coastal home, and head upstairs to the first-floor apartment. Inside, the holiday retreat has a tasteful seaside theme and enjoys distant sea views through its large sash windows. The social hub of the house is a bright and airy living space with a sumptuous sofa, stylish dining table, and sleek kitchen area. Stretch out on the sofa, with the woofer curled at your feet, to watch the Smart TV, or curl up with a glass of wine in the cute window seat. A contemporary shower room completes this level. Upstairs, two beautiful bedrooms – a king-size and a double – are tucked away in the eaves, along with a handy WC. Although there is no outside space, you’ll be just 200 metres from the seafront, where you can pick up the coast path or wander along the beach. Parking is subject to availability on surrounding roads and the public car park (100 metres).
A short, downhill stroll brings you to the village centre, where you’ll find a good range of paw-friendly eateries. The main harbour beach has a seasonal dog restriction. However, at the eastern end of the bay is the vast, sandy beach of Traeth Gwyn. This wild, remote beach boasts dramatic coastal scenery and was a popular haunt of the poet Dylan Thomas. From New Quay, enjoy days out to the colourful seaside town of Aberaeron (7.5 miles) or the quaint village of Aberporth (14.5 miles).
