Happisburgh is known for its thatched cottages, its red and white striped lighthouse, and lovely sandy dog-friendly beach, as well as a cheerful pub. This is a great base for exploring the Norfolk coast, with dogs welcome at several nearby beaches including Mundesley and Trimingham to the north and Waxham and Horsey to the south, all within 10 miles. Inland the nearest of the Norfolk Broads is the beautiful Hickling Broad (7.5 miles).
