Climb the challenging peaks of Loughrigg Fell or Wansfell Pike, both 4.5 miles away, or for really keen paws, try the mountain peak of Red Screes (4 miles). Take to the water on one of the scenic boat cruises available from Waterhead Pier (0.5 miles).
