Surrounded by country walks and hiking trails, this charming rural getaway is a superb base for hounds who love to stretch their legs, plus up to ten humans. With plenty of space to spread out inside, plus an enclosed garden, it’s bound to get your canines’ woof of approval.
Across two connected properties, the converted barn provides generous living spaces in the form of two double-height lounges, each featuring comfortable seating, exposed beams and a wood burner, with Smart TVs for entertainment. There are two cheerful kitchen/diners, too – both with full cooking facilities, including a microwave and a dishwasher. You’ll have no problem finding space for dog food and water bowls on either floor. When you’ve kissed your four-pawed pals goodnight, the larger section of the cottage sleeps six in three bedrooms: a ground-floor double with en-suite wet room, and a lower level (reached by six steps) where you’ll find a twin and a room with bunk beds, sharing a separate bathroom. In the other section, there’s a WC on the ground floor, while two bedrooms (a double and a twin, boasting gorgeous country views) sit off the galleried landing, along with another bathroom. A large garden, enclosed by a post-and-rail fence, has plenty of lawn for pups to run and romp, and a patio for outdoor dining with a view. Ample off-street parking is available at this excellent property.
The cottage is set near the borders of Yorkshire, Lancashire and Cumbria, 1 mile from Ingleton and its stunning waterfalls trail. Head into the Yorkshire Dales National Park for more scenic walks and waterfalls including Beezley Falls and Thornton Force, both within 3 miles. Explore the woodland trails of the Forest of Bowland (5 miles) or head into the southern Lake District, just 16 miles away.
