Shanklin is full of traditional seaside charm, with amusement arcades, crazy golf, and a great range of places to eat and drink (many of which welcome four-legged visitors). Enjoy a relaxing dog walk amongst the thatched cottages of the old town, before following the tree-lined Shanklin Chine down to the beach. Although there is a seasonal dog restriction on the main beach, the area near the chine welcomes pets all year. The Isle of Wight Coast Path passes through the town, offering excellent opportunities for walkies. Alternatively, journey to the wild and remote Ventnor Downs, just 6 miles away.
