Studded in a rural position on the cusp of the Northumberland National Park is this charming cluster of farm cottages. Cosy yet spacious with period features and marvellous views, your accommodation sleeps eight along with three dogs and acts as an ideal base for exploring. Leave no stick unfetched as you navigate the Cheviot Hills or venture to the coast, 18.5 miles away, to experience its rugged beauty, rounding off with snuggly evenings by the wood burner.

Set across a single level with high ceilings and timber beams, your open-plan living space is top dog for relaxing. Pop a log on the wood burner and let sleeping dogs lie while you enjoy some TV viewing over a glass of wine, or grab a good book and settle down to read undisturbed. Prepare delicious meals under the watchful eyes of Rover and feast around the table, then head outside for an after-dinner coffee in the garden. Admire the views from the gravelled patio garden; at bedtime, you’ll find four bedrooms inside, all with en-suites.

Hop in the car and spend some time investigating Kelso, Wooler and Cornhill-on-Tweed all within 11 miles, rewarding your efforts with hearty lunches in a dog-friendly pub. The Pennine Way is a treat for walkers and cyclists, but the best place to sniff out exciting walks is the diverse landscape of Northumberland National Park. The coast is within touring distance and well worth the 18.5-mile journey simply to soak up the sunsets and impressive sight of Bamburgh Castle, 25.5 miles away; by day, the pooch-friendly sandy beaches are a delight.

The fact that it had 4 bedrooms with on suit facilities was a plus point . Other facilities were okay ie cooking seating and the fact we had WI FI . Location was a little remote . Eating out places were quite a distance away,however having two drivers help . All in all we all enjoyed the holiday as we found three different golf courses which chargeRead mored reasonable rates so we got 3 games of golf in even though the weather was a bit inclement . Lovely spacious cottage. Nice ensuites in all the rooms. Clean and tidy with plenty of equipment and utensils provided. Peaceful and quiet. Loved the fresh flowers on arrival as well as the preserve and wine. Thank you for a lovely stay.

The location of this property is excellent. It is quiet and dark at night and all rooms shared the very pleasant outlook. As there is not a big garden the property is very suitable for a group of adults but would not suit a group with children wanting to play outside.

We had a lovely time at Teddy's cottage over Christmas it was perfect for our family who all live in different countries to get together and enjoy Christmas . The cottage is in a nice spot with lovely views and countryside. As other reviews had stated the cottage although comfortable could do with some TLC and updating ! Overall we had a lovey ChriRead morestmas together and the extra little things that the owner provided ( Prosecco , games and home made marmalade ) were a nice touch . Hide

We chose the cottage so that we could take our dogs with us but unfortunately the garden was not dog-proof and we had to be out there with them on their leads. It was also very overgrown (only half the space useable) with no working outside light. It would not take much effort to secure the gate with chicken wire and cut back the weeds and overgrowRead moren shrubs. Teddy's cottage, is just delightful, its location within superb sceneries is so beautiful. I had been concerned, I had booked this holiday for three retired couples, but arriving and opening the door my fears were blown away, the accommodation suited our needs fantastically. Outside there is a small secure garden where the gorgeous views can be takRead moreen in, also the parking is nearby, making life easier during bouts of rain.
