  • Charming first floor apartment with parking, set in a haven for wildlife enthusiasts
  • Stay on this famed peninsula, near Spurn Point, that curves between the North Sea and the Humber Estuary
  • Visit the nearby Discovery Centre, the gateway to the reserve, offering a welcome café and wildlife safari experiences
Property code: OC-83428

Sniff out adventure in Yorkshire’s very own Land’s End, padding through the ever-changing landscape surrounding beautiful Spurn Point. This peninsula curves between the North Sea and the Humber Estuary and is home to an abundance of wildlife, making it top dog for walkies. Cosy and comfortable for two puppers and four well-behaved humans, this property is the ideal base for adventures galore and you’ll even receive a warm welcome in the form of tasty treats from the helpful owners.

Set on the first floor and accessed via a flight of stairs, your abode has some seriously epic views best enjoyed over a cup of tea. Scratch behind Fido’s ears and recline on the sofas in the cheerful lounge and perch at the handy drop-leaf table for your meals. You’ll have everything to hand for whipping up a feast in the kitchen, but after a particularly muddy walk, the bathroom will likely be your first stop for cleaning paws or just enjoying a pamper. When the day is done, settle down and recharge your batteries in one of the snug bedrooms. You’ll have ample outside space for drinks in the evening sunshine, and there’s a useful washing machine in an outbuilding.

The nature reserve and Spurn Point itself may be off-limits to canines due to the sheer amount of birdlife, but you’ll still be able to discover the best bits of this unique location on foot and by paw. Nose around the friendly Discovery Centre and follow the signposted routes northwards towards the dog-friendly beach to frolic in the waves. The Kilnsea Wetlands circular route is also great fun and pup approved when your pedigree chum is on a lead, so they’ll be able to experience the iconic natural playground in all its glory.

  • 2 bedrooms – 1 double and 1 king-size zip-and-link (which can be made into a 3ft twin on request)
  • 1 bathroom with shower over bath and WC

  • Utility area with washing machine (located in outhouse)

  • Hairdryers in both bedrooms
  • Designated parking for one in car park with additional roadside parking, subject to availability
  • Shop 10 miles, beach, café and pub within 1 mile
  • Although there is no private outdoor space, a dog-friendly beach lies within a mile, and scenic walks begin right from the doorstep.
  • Please note this apartment is located over an office which may be manned during office hours
  • Arrival: 16:00 onwards
  • Departure: before 10:00

Had a lovely couple of days in this fantastic location. Stunning walks, nature and a lovely cafe in easy walking distance. The cottage was always warm despite the weather, easy to use heaters in all the rooms and the best welcome produce in the kitchen, including bread, eggs, milk and snacks, a lovely surprise. I would book again.

This cottage is in a great location for direct on-foot access to Spurn Head and to the friendly local pub. Super clean, good facilities and generous arrival pack - milk, bread etc..The info file is excellent. There are issues with the property we've raised - if you're not fussy they won't impact your stay.
