Standing at the northern edge of Windermere, the vibrant town of Ambleside (2.5 miles) has a range of traditional pubs, fantastic restaurants, and independent shops – with landmarks and attractions including The Bridge House, Ambleside Roman Fort, Zeffirellis Cinema, and the Armitt Museum. The area is perfect for walkers, with Loughrigg Fell, Langdale Pikes, and Cathedral Cavern all within 5 miles. Coniston Water and Esthwaite Water are to the south, and Rydal Water and Grasmere to the north (all within 7 miles).
