Immerse yourselves in the magnificent North York Moors and let your faithful friends enjoy the fun too. This handsome, stone hideaway at Low Mill, 6.5 miles from Kirkbymoorside, makes a superb base for a large party of family or friends wishing to bring some happy hounds. Sleeping eight guests, the four-bedroom hideaway offers sumptuous, characterful accommodation and lawned gardens that are nothing short of a paradise for puppies.

Make your way into this welcoming sanctuary that was originally a farmhouse. Head through to the gorgeous, country-style kitchen/diner, with its beamed ceiling and flagstone floor to dish up hearty feasts to both hounds and humans. Choose between two lovely lounges when it comes to lively fun or quiet relaxation together. Light the wood burner in one of these enticing rooms and let your contented canines bask in its cosy glow. Bid your pups goodnight downstairs then choose between three super-king-size bedrooms and one twin. One super-king has an en-suite bathroom and another an en-suite shower room, while one of these two bedrooms is at ground-floor level. The family bathroom completes the interior. Outside, unwind in the sunshine of the beautiful garden on fine days. Play games with your pet, watch him as he paddles in the stream and relax together as you enjoy the scenic views.

Lace up your boots, pick up the dog lead and amble off to walk together beside the River Dove. Soak up the scenery from a carriage on the heritage North Yorkshire Steam Railway, 13.5 miles away, where four-legged passengers are welcome aboard. Stretch furry legs at Rosedale Bank Top, 7.5 miles away. Here you can take in the astounding views across the moors and see the remains of calcining kilns and inclines high above Rosedale Abbey.

Absolutely beautiful cottage, finished and decorated to an extremely high standard including very comfortable beds. Truly stunning rural location and the convenience of a well stocked shop with friendly, knowledgeable staff next door.

My wife and I have stayed in quite a number of holiday rentals and both of us believe that Dobsons Farmhouse was bar far the best we have stayed in. The farmhouse now sets the standard for others to follow. We enjoyed visiting Hutton-le Hole and Dalby Forrest, as well as other locations too.
