  • Experience a one-of-a-kind adventure with a llama walk direct from the property
Property code: OC-91358

Located in the Mendip Hills sits this two-bedroom property. With scenic trails, river walks, and a llama farm right on the doorstep, this is the perfect base for a family and two hounds wanting outdoor adventure.

A sense of comfort sweeps through this single-storey barn conversion with soft furnishings and splashes of colour creating a cheerful atmosphere. Leave muddy boots by the door then step through to the open-plan living area with its exposed beams and wood-panelled flooring. After a day exploring there’s plenty of space for Fido to rest his head while you relax on the sofa or rustle up a meal in the stylish kitchen. Your hound can keep you company as you linger over a family meal at the four-seater table or better yet, push open the floor-to-ceiling patio doors and let your pup roam freely in the fenced garden. Come evening, enjoy a soak in the delightful slipper bath then retire to the king-size bedroom or twin zip-and-link bedroom. Both rooms boast ample wardrobe space and a TV. The outdoor area is fenced so while your pup stretches his legs you can sit at the patio table and breathe in the fresh countryside air.

From the property jump on the Crook Peak footpath and take your family and hound for a hike up Crook Peak. Your dog will love exploring the verdant fields and rocky peaks and from the summit you’ll be rewarded with stunning views. Alternatively, take the neighbouring llamas for a morning stroll through the countryside. For independent shops, pubs, and restaurants head to the historic market town of Axbridge (2.5 miles) or let Fido run on the sand at Uphill Beach (7 miles).

  • 2 bedrooms - 1 king-size and 1 twin zip-and-link (can be made into a king-size on request)
  • 1 bathroom with a freestanding slipper bath, separate shower and WC
  • Electric hob and oven, microwave, coffee machine, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washer dryer
  • Cot and highchair available
  • Smart TV in the lounge
  • Smart TVs in both bedrooms
  • Underfloor heating
  • Enclosed garden with patio, seating and charcoal BBQ
  • Private parking for 2 cars
  • EV charger available at property
  • Beach 7 miles, 2 pubs under 2 miles and shop 2 miles
  • There are fishing rights so guests are welcome to fish from the riverbank which runs along the bottom (but not within the enclosed garden).
  • Guided llama walks are available to book during your stay. Not suitable for children under 8 years of age, however they are able to meet the llamas and goats. Children over 8 years must be accompanied by an adult (adults with infant carriers are also allowed). These walks can be booked directly with the owner of the property at a special rate
  • Electric vehicle charging on site
  • Arrival: 16:00 onwards
  • Departure: before 10:00
  • 2 dogs allowed. Additional charges may apply

Weve stayed in a lot of holiday cottages and this was one of the best. Spotlessly clean, well equipped, nice decor and a much appreciated welcome pack. The icing on the cake was the lovely garden which was totally secure for our dogs. Just a shame we couldnt make more use of it but the weather wasnt too kind to us!
