Escape to Northumberland and settle in this welcoming home in the heart of Rothbury. Just 16.5 miles from the Northumberland Coast AONB, fill your days with beach walks, stick chases and sea swims before tucking into delicious food at a local eatery. Sleeping four guests over two bedrooms, it’d be rude not to invite your pair of tufty-pawed sidekicks along to enjoy this fabulous destination.

Boasting a simple living style with tranquil tones and splashes of warming colours, step up and inside the open-plan heart of the home. The central wood burner separates the lounge and kitchen areas and sits in an original feature fireplace with exposed wood and stonework. Settle on the sofa or curl up in the chair and position the Smart TV in your direction to enjoy a relaxing night in with your pups at your feet. A step leads to the small yet stylish kitchen space where there are plenty of cupboards to store tasty treats and all you need to feed hungry guests. Eat at the breakfast bar or head outside to the courtyard and dine at the bistro-style table. Say good night to your canine companions and climb the spiral staircase to find the two inviting bedrooms and the contemporary shower room. The super-king-size can be made up as twin and boasts a Smart TV whilst the twin room has views of Blaeberry Hill. There is bike storage and roadside parking nearby.

From your door, head out for your morning walkies along the banks of the River Coquet before picking up treats in the local shop for a picnic. Make the trip to the coast and visit the dog-friendly sands at Alnmouth (16.5 miles), Amble Links (20 miles) or Longhoughton Steel (16 miles) before returning home and paying the National Trust-owned, Cragside (1.5 miles), a visit.
