If you like Harry Potter, you’ll love visiting the filming locations in and around Goathland (26 miles). Head to Whitby (25 miles) if you’re craving the sea air. Walk along the stunning heritage coast and admire lovely coastal views, perhaps taking your pet for a run-around on Tate Hill Beach where dogs are welcome all year round.
