Ideal for a large family group and up to two four-legged friends, this traditional country cottage is only a quarter of a mile from the village pub in Sway. Explore the New Forest National Park on the doorstep of the cottage making this perfect for wonderful, easily accessible walks with your dogs. There is also a handy cloakroom on the ground floor, for cleaning muddy paws after a stroll. Outside there is plenty of space for al fresco dining with decking, garden furniture and a BBQ. The pretty patio and gardens are ideal for evening refreshments. You and your dogs will be made most welcome at this traditional country cottage, with private and enclosed grounds.

With the ancient landscape of the New Forest on the doorstep and the local dog-friendly village pub so close, this is an ideal spot for those looking to explore and appreciate this picturesque National Park. Be enchanted by this ancient landscape of heathland and forest trails, with freely roaming ponies and donkeys. The area also offers 100 miles of off-road designated cycle routes. Dogs are a way of life here, with free access to virtually all parts, while lowland trails make easy walking for people, too. The nearest town is Lymington (5 miles) with its cobbled coastal quay and excellent Saturday market. Mudeford (10 miles) is picturesque and great for crabbing.

A perfect location for a special family birthday. All ages were happy and walking access to the forest is only a short distance, as is the dog friendly pub The Hare and Hounds

Very clean and homely with lots of extras, cake and sweets on arrival. Very well situated with a very good pub at the end of the road which did lovely food. Would stay again and recommend to friends. Also cottage was nicely decorated for Christmas.

Lovely cottage with everything needed in the kitchen. Home from home. Delicious welcome goodies and beautiful flowers welcomed us. Only downside was the paved courtyard not dog friendly for our dog.

Very helpful guidelines for the cottage and surrounding areas. Warm country cottage feel. Plenty of space in the well equipped kitchen and utility area. Comfy beds and sofas. Great sunny patio with plenty of outdoor chairs.

The cottage was the ideal size for our family of 6 adults and 1 child. It was spotlessly clean, well laid out and equipped with everything we needed and felt like a home from home. We were welcomed with fresh flowers and a basket of local goodies, and there were books, maps, and games available. The information book was comprehensive. We recommend Read morelocal butcher, deli and hamper shop, and we enjoyed Quiz Night and food at the local pub. The forest is close by for walks and cycling. Hide

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Yew Tree Cottage, which was definitely enhanced by all the great commination and information from the owners. The welcome goodies too were a great bonus and very enjoyable. We had a lovely weekend break in this fabulous cottage. This was a great choice for a Christmas stay. 5 adults - 3 cars. There is no off street parking nearby so the third car was parked in a space at the top of the drive which worked fine but it was a small car. Lovely comfy cottage. Beds and sofas are probably the best we have had in a cottage. Well equipped with everything you need. Welcome pack was lovely especially the flowers. Good quiet location. Nice dog friendly pub serving good food just yards away which has a good childrens play area.
