This is by far the best cottage we have stayed in. The host was a phone call away if you needed assistance with anything. I'll definitely come again.

First time we have stayed at Derwent cottage. The accomodation was superb, and spacious. The owner of the property was onsite if we needed anything. It was the first time we had been away for Christmas, and the accomodation was decorated for the occasion. The hot tub was excellent. We will be back as it was within easy distance of family.

We absolutly loved our stay. The cottage we stayed in was very well equipped, and comfortable, the hot tub was easy to use and a lovely addition to our stay. Bedrooms were lovely and comfortable, clean and good sizes. Great location for Beamish and the parts of Hadrians wall we came to visit.

Derwent Cottage is amazingly spacious and set in a wonderfully peaceful location. We had a fantastic week, making the most of the hot tub and seeing the local sites. Despite the remote location, the shops are surprisingly quick to get to. I'm keeping this place on my list to stay again in future.

We can't praise the owners enough. We had everything we needed in a spotlessly clean, warm and comfortable property. We had arranged for a caterer to set up for our Saturday evening and the owner opened up for us so we didn't have to return early from our day out.
