This superb farmhouse, set in a mature, enclosed garden and within 5 miles of the glorious Cornish coast at Falmouth, is perfect for pet-loving families or groups of friends. Sleeping six guests and welcoming two furry companions, it has masses of ground-floor space, with a large sunroom that’s just the job for a short doggy nap on their beds or blankets. Discover peaceful country walks close by and strike out with your canine chums along the wonderfully scenic South West Coast Path. Bustling Falmouth has dog-friendly pubs, cafes and restaurants overlooking the colourful harbour.

The interior of this beautifully furnished farmhouse combines period charm with stylish modern comforts. Exposed stone walls and beams are a feature in the cosy lounge, with a splendid wood burner. The spacious, contemporary kitchen/diner boasts an AGA, while the utility room is ideal for washing muddy paws. Upstairs are three luxurious bedrooms, including a super-king-size, king-size, cost double and a gorgeous family bathroom. Outside, the lovely garden is a wonderfully safe space for children and pets, offering mature trees, lawns and a suntrap terrace with seating. Here you will also find a lovely gas BBQ for dining al fresco plus a large luxury hot tub to soak in at the end of the day.

Children will love exploring historic Pendennis Castle, a short stroll from the centre of Falmouth. Pets on leads are welcome and you can tuck into a Cornish ice cream at the outdoor tearoom, as you enjoy the views across Falmouth Bay to the village of St Mawes, with its twin castle. Dogs are welcome aboard the ferry to St Mawes. Must-sees include Falmouth’s outstanding National Maritime Museum and beautiful Trelissick Gardens (5 miles). Under the National Trust’s pawprint code, dogs cannot enter the central gardens, but are warmly welcome to explore the extensive parkland, woodland and small beach.

A wonderful house with lots original character, very clean and comfortable. Owners left balloons and a celebration cake on arrival which was a lovely thoughtful surprise.

Lovely comfy house, great garden though dogs need supervision due to pool. Enjoyed our stay, lots of great coastal walking and dog friendly pubs and cafes
