Overlooking the bustling harbourside of St Ives, just a stick’s throw from some gloriously sandy beaches and long scenic walks along the South West Coast Path, this seaside home-from-home is perfect for that long-awaited getaway with your whole pack and two canine companions.

Boasting a combination of rustic Victorian charm with contemporary homely touches, the spacious open-plan lounge/diner is the perfect spot to gather your whole pack and share tales of the day’s adventures. Hunker down on the comfy corner sofa as your four-legged friend curls up at your feet, and later, lead the way into the kitchen/diner to rustle up some tasty treats when dinner calls. Gather around the rustic farmhouse-style dining table to share a meal together. Retire to the king-size with en-suite shower room, either of the two doubles or two bunk bedrooms set across the first and second floors. There’s a shower room on the ground floor and a lovely family bathroom on the first floor. Outside, your tufty-pawed pal will go mutts climbing steep steps leading to the enclosed garden which features a variety of terraces and seating areas to sniff around.

The tail-wagging harbour town of St Ives comprises a maze of narrow cobbled streets, independent shops, and fisherman’s cottages. Take the lead to the town centre with your canine companion to sniff out some of the South West’s tasty local treats. Your pup will go barking mad for an afternoon bounding through the gloriously golden sand at Porthminster Beach, half a mile away, where you’ll have a ball doggy paddling around the crystal waters before relaxing on a charming seaside deck chair. Find plenty of sticks to fetch along the myriad of walking trails around the Lizard Peninsula, 25 miles away.

We had a really enjoyable week in the cottage. The layout and size was prefect for our family of 9 and the location was brilliant as is a 2 minute stroll to the shops. However, we were not able to use the outside decking seating area as the steps from the yard were too dangerous for anyone 70+ or under 10yrs to safely walk up or down and therefore Read morethe garden was unusable for us. The location of this property is superb! Being able to walk into St Ives and not worry about parking is lovely. However it has very steep steps leading to the parking and would not be suitable for less mobile people. The house has a rustic charm, but is quite tired and would benefit from some TLC. It didn't affect our holiday however, and we thorouRead moreghly enjoyed our stay. We stayed with young children and there are no stair gates and this did prove to be an issue for us. Hide

Perfectly placed very close to centre. Lovely comfy house set up so you can immediately relax. Unfortunately the gardens are not really usable as up very steep steps and are separate to the property but as you are so close to beach etc this is not a problem. Parking a little tricky if you have a long car as need to park at an angle but getting 2 paRead morerking spaces in St Ives is amazing. This house is perfect for extended family with great lounge and lovely kitchen. We would definitely stay again. Hide

A great location and accommodation let down by the electrical appliances- ok for short stays only unless these are replaced or fixed.

We stayed at Seren House with our five teenagers and 2 year old. The location was perfect. We parked our two cars in the allocated parking spots and then just stayed put for the week! We loved being so close to the town and the beach. With so many of us everyone could do their own thing and we could do things together as well. The house was well loRead moreved and relaxing and the views were beautiful. With it being so close to everything you can really enjoy St Ives before it gets busy. Hide

Excellent location just out of town. 10 minute walk to the train station. Beds very comfortable, lots of period features and a great view from the garden. Parking space at top of the garden is a great asset .
