  • Spaciously laid out over three floors a blend of modern and original features
  • Fantastic and fully enclosed courtyard garden, a real suntrap!
Property code: OC-88178

Tucked away on a quiet street in Padstow on the North Cornwall coast, this charming end-of-terrace property is perfect for couples, families and their canine companions. Despite its quiet position, you’re less than 0.5 miles from the bustling harbour, with its myriad of shops and eateries amongst the labyrinth of narrow streets. With the South West Coast Path leading up from the harbour, you can start your day with a brisk clifftop walk with your faithful friend before heading back to your private courtyard for a peaceful morning coffee and a pastry from the local bakery.

Light walls create a sense of space throughout this four-storey property, whilst warm wooden tones and original features add character and charm. After discarding wet shoes and wiping muddy paws in the hall, head into the cosy lounge where comfortable sofas await you. Heading downstairs, you’ll come to the well-equipped and spacious kitchen/diner, whilst upstairs, there are two bedrooms and a bathroom arranged over the last two floors. As you’d expect from a property like this, there is restricted height in places and the staircases are narrow and steep. Outside, a small courtyard is ideal for dining and evening drinks.

Padstow itself has plenty to discover, such as independent shops, galleries, the harbour and the coastal path. It’s also a foodies’ haven, as it’s home to Rick Stein’s seafood restaurant and fish and chip shop. Venturing further afield, you can head across the river to the exclusive village of Rock (15-mile drive or a short ferry crossing), or why not spend the day on one of the many sandy beaches nearby, such as Constantine Bay (4 miles) or Watergate Bay (11.5 miles)? Popular with surfers, Newquay (17 miles) is also worth a visit and is home to a few beaches and the Sealife Centre.

  • 2 bedrooms – 1 double and 1 king-size (can be split into two 2’ 6” single beds upon request, only suitable for children
  • 1 bathroom with shower over the bath and WC
  • Electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, Lavazza Coffee Machine, washing machine and tumble dryer
  • Travel cot available on request
  • Smart TV and electric fire in lounge
  • Private enclosed patio and outdoor seating
  • Beach 3 miles, shops and restaurants under a mile
  • Public car parks are situated close to the property (subject to availability). Link Road car park is the long stay car park
  • Please note that there are low ceilings and stairways are narrower and steeper than most due to the home’s original style and makeup
  • Arrival: 16:00 onwards
  • Departure: before 10:00
  • 2 dogs allowed. Additional charges may apply

The cottage is quaint and the location is really good. The internal stairs are very steep. The garden is lovely.

Really lovely central location in Padstows old town. Nicely finished, bedrooms in particular were really comfortable (the loft bedroom is also very spacious). Stairs up to loft bedroom have a very narrow tread. Nice large kitchen.

I would rate it to a friend but not if they are looking for all mod cons and luxury. PS a coffee machine would be a great addition.

The location is perfect but the cottage is very disjointed and does not flow. The lounge is on the road level but the dining room and kitchen are one level down and the room is dark and has a musty smell. There is a garden but it does not flow off the lounge and so is not useful. The decor is old and is not stylish at all. We have stayed in a lot oRead moref the neighbouring cottages which are all beautifully furnished. The cottage is overpriced for the lack of decor and lack of usable space. Hide

Incredible location and lots of space and facilities for the money. My only slight gripe was that the mattresses could be comfier and the pillows werent right for me but I understand thats just my preference. On the whole it was close to perfect and very good value!

Great location very close to the harbour. House was clean and tidy, garden area could possibly be tidied up a little. The stairs in the cottage are all very steep particularly into the top floor, they are also very narrow and slippy. The stairs from the living area are also quite warn with carpet tacs exposed .
