The lounge/diner has plenty of comfortable seating and looks over the shared garden. You can even spot distant sea views beyond the garden. A useful kitchen has everything you need, including a breakfast bar which is great for socialising. Set over one floor, you will find the master king-size bedroom and the twin bedroom off the lounge and kitchen, both of which are en-suite. Heading outside via the patio doors from the lounge, you will find a small balcony: dine alfresco while fido snoozes by your feet. Guests are also welcome to enjoy the owner’s shared garden below which is laid to lawn and bordered by shrubs and trees.
The little village of Kilkhampton has a handy shop, takeaway, and a welcoming, dog-friendly pub. Bude (6 miles) is a lively coastal town with three sandy beaches, and a range of shops, bars, and restaurants. The 60-mile-long heritage coast is popular with surfers, walkers, and wildlife spotters. Take a long stroll and go barking mad at the incredible cliffside views – your dog will enjoy the trip just as much as you. Head to the superb Sandymouth Bay Beach (3.5 miles) where there are no restrictions on canine companions at any time of year.
