Nestled in the heart of St Helens, this chocolate-box cottage is a brief stroll away from the local pub, restaurants, and shops (within 250 meters). Get tails wagging with a trip down to the St Helens Duver (1 mile) for a morning scamper in the sandy dunes. Drop by a cafe to pick up some flaky pastries and a treat for Fido then return home to enjoy a morning indulgence on the patio.

With a history dating back over three hundred years, this Grade II-listed cottage exudes timeless character, retaining its original exposed beams and ornamental fireplace. Dry off sandy paws and wander through to the homely living room. Sink into the sofa with a delightful afternoon tipple in hand and flick through local travel guides as you plan your next adventure with your beloved floppy-eared companion. Pad into the kitchen and whip up a storm, then gather around the inviting dining table for a delicious feast of local treats. Ascend the staircase to one of the two cosy bedrooms styled in calming coastal tones. Settle into the sheets and relish the scenic views of the village green beyond. Rise in the morning, swing open the door, and let Fido revel in the morning scents. Savour a morning brew on the patio furniture basking in the warmth of the morning sun.

Four-pawed beach babes will be in paradise enjoying endless games of fetch on the sandy shores of Whitecliff Bay (1.5 miles) while the humans slip into swimwear and enjoy a refreshing paddle in the sea. Pups with a nose for history can scope out the grounds of Bembridge Windmill (2.5 miles).

The cottage is very quaint and excellent for days out as on an excellent bus route if you're not driving. The local beach is a little walk from the property and very quiet. Go to Shanklin for a more touristy beach. Plenty of nice restaurants a short drive of bus journey away.

The Poplars is a lovely cottage, located opposite a green, convenient for a minimart, pub and buses. The classic English cottage garden is beautiful and our dog enjoyed playing there and rolling on the grass.

Beautiful thatched cottage. Great location. Lots of lovely local walks. The front and back garden were secure for our dog. Cottage was very cozy and had everything we needed. Beware of the low door ways. My hubby hit his head THREE times!

Pretty, quaint, picture perfect cottage, walking distance from the beach and with a well maintained garden where on sunny days you can sit and enjoy it the peacefulness. It can be cold in the colder months. Parking can be a challenge.

Fantastic all round from the picture postcard looks to the gardens and location. Walks straight from the door to the local beaches and inland. Premier shop and pub within 100 meters a bonus. The pub has a busy evening entertainment which is great. No noise can be heard in the cottage from the road or patrons of the pub in the evenings. Gardens fronRead moret and back ideal for relaxing, both enclosed so great for dog owners with a garden hose. Yes we would stay here again. Hide

The cottage was very comfortable, well equipped, however, chilly late afternoon/evening, appreciated the use of convector heaters and the log effect electric fire. Note there is a low bulkhead coming down the stairs beware of banging heads and a must to duck when going through the back door to/from the garden. Beautiful, secure garden.
