The town stands at the northern edge of Windermere, with steam cruisers offering trips down to Lakeside (14 miles). Hikers can head to Wansfell (2 miles) or Loughrigg Fell (3 miles), with Rydal Water (2.5 miles) and Grasmere (3.5 miles) to the north. Wray Castle, Rydal Cave, Skelwith Force and Stagshaw Gardens are all within 3 miles.

Stepping inside this delightful, stylishly decorated ground-floor retreat, the bright, fresh and colourful open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner offers a warm welcome, with ample light streaming in via the large floor-to-ceiling windows which overlook the gardens. The cheerful and refreshing lounge has a Smart TV and ample seating, perfect for a quiet night in after a fabulous day exploring the Lakes. Very clean and comfortable flat. Equipped with everything we needed in a great location. Very quiet and parking was a real bonus. Ambleside was fantastic with plenty of lovely places to eat and had a good selection of shops. Beautiful scenery and lovely walks for the dog and humans.

The accommodation was absolutely outstanding, perfectly located just moments from Ambleside town while still offering easy access to a wide range of beautiful walks and scenic trails. Clean, modern property a short walk from Ambleside town centre. Would definitely recommend and use again if staying in the area.

Ideally located just a 5 min walk from the centre of Ambleside, but tucked away in a quiet residential corner, this was a perfect stay for our family of 4. We had everything we needed in the beautifully presented ground floor apartment, fully equipped kitchen, washing machine etc. Ambleside is a great base to then venture to other parts of the LakeRead more District including Grasmere, Keswick and Kendal. We are already thinking of coming back next year to climb the hills we didn't manage! Hide

Great property! Superb location, 2 minute walk onto the fells. 10 minute walk into the centre of village. Property perfect for family of 4 & a dog.

Excellent location, quiet yet within walking distance from the centre of Ambleside. Lots of amazing walks from the flat (comprehensive info and maps kindly provided by the owners). The flat itself was immaculate and very comfortable with everything needed for a great stay. Would not hesitate to go back.

The apartment is light and airy, but still homely and relaxing. The beds are comfy with lovely touches of textiles, this continues into the living area too. The kitchen was well kitted out with plenty of utendils, cutlery, pots and pans etc There was plenty of space for all our food in the cupboards. The bathroom was lovely, clean and modern with fRead moreluffy towels, great shower and nice to have heated towel rail. The location is brilliant for getting straight out and walking the beautiful hills around ambleside, eith no need to even go on the roads. Itsin a peaceful location, but yet is still minutes walk into the heart of ambleside, so great for dog walking and eating out alike. There were lots of lovely tpuches in the apartment which made it feel personal but still welcoming, such as the books amd games to use whilst staying. All in all a fabulous place, will definately stay again and highly reccomend. Hide

Good experience! In the middle of Lake District, it's very convenient and quiet. There is free parking site. The heat is efficient. Highly recommended!
