Escape with your loved ones to this lovely lodge just outside the tranquil village of Cretingham. Sleeping four people across two bedrooms and welcoming one canine companion, it’s an excellent choice for small families or groups of friends looking for a dreamy cabin to call home while they discover the Suffolk countryside with their pup. Spend a happy few hours strolling along the beautiful Deben Estuary Coast Path with you faithful friend, and in the evening, come home to enjoy a leisurely al fresco dinner on your lodge’s patio.

Pull into your private parking spot (there’s room for two cars) and step inside your delightful reverse-level lodge. Kick off your shoes in the hallway and head to the chic kitchen/diner to whip up some dinner to share at the farmhouse-style dining table. Or head out onto the pretty patio to enjoy a fun al fresco dinner. After dinner, head upstairs and you’ll discover a stylish lounge bathed in natural light from the floor-to-ceiling windows. Treat yourself to a glass of wine and take a seat to soak up the lovely country views while your pup sleeps contentedly at your feet. At the end of the day, there are two stylish bedrooms waiting for you – one super-king-size (can be converted into a twin) on the ground floor, and one generous king-size that offers sweeping meadow views. A chic shower room on the ground floor completes the layout. In the morning, wake up and take a stroll across the meadow to the open pond.

Head into Framlingham (5.5 miles) to walk your pip in the lovely castle grounds. Or head over to the lovely town of Woodbridge (9 miles) and set off for riverside walkies along the banks of the River Deben.

We were in need of a short break, not too far away from home, but with a different feel. Poplar Farm Lodge promised peace and quiet and a chance to unwind. They delivered handsomely. After wending our way down a country lane, we were treated to a lodge with beautiful views and a break from the hubbub of everyday life. The lodge is clean, well appoiRead morented and comfortable. The kitchen diner has trifold doors that open out onto a spacious patio with loungers and a garden sofa set. We even had a few glimpses of sunshine which enabled us to sit out and enjoy the view and, of course, the perfect peace and tranquility. The upstairs lounge offered us the opportunity to enjoy the far reaching views and to watch the occasional wildlife that ventured nearby. The lodge was warm and comfortable and an absolute joy. There are plenty of well marked footpaths on your doorstep, so you can enjoy the countryside without having to get in your car, and The Cretingham Bell is a gentle 15 minute stroll away with great food and beer in a warm and friendly atmosphere. We would honestly go back to Poplar Farm Lodge in a heartbeat, our only regret was having to pack up and leave after such a short break. When the opportunity arises we shall be booking a return visit. Honestly, what's not to love ? Hide

The lodge was spotlessly clean and located in a beautiful setting. Our welcome pack was a lovely surprise, especially the homemade cookies. The beds were super comfy. The lodge was tasteful decorated and very warm. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely recommend a break there.
