Hidden away in a peaceful spot on the edge of Sennen, this charming stone-built lodge with a hot tub is a wonderful retreat for couples, families and their four-legged companions looking to explore Cornwall’s rugged coastline. Surrounded by countryside and close to some of the county’s most spectacular walking routes, it’s a fantastic base for coastal adventures with your faithful hound.
Inside, the bright open-plan living area welcomes you after long beach walks with your canine friend, complete with a built-in bench for muddy boots, handy hooks for coats and bags, and bi-fold doors framing far-reaching views. Soft tones of white and blue reflect the surrounding seascape, while the pitched ceiling adds to the airy feel. The contemporary kitchen and dining area make it easy to cook, gather and spend quality time together before heading to the sofa to catch up on your favourite shows with Rover snoozing at your feet. Two beautifully styled bedrooms continue the calm, coastal atmosphere throughout the lodge. One is arranged with a king-size bed, while the second can be set up as either twins or a super-king-size on request, giving flexibility for families or friends travelling together. Both bedrooms benefit from sleek en-suite shower rooms. Outside, the enclosed gravel garden is a lovely spot to sit back with your four-pawed pal nearby while taking in the sweeping rural views stretching towards the local church. The patio area is great for outdoor dining or evening drinks, while the hot tub adds a luxurious touch after windswept walks along the coast. There’s also an outdoor shower – particularly handy for rinsing sandy paws after a morning by the sea. Private parking for two cars is provided, with additional visitor parking available.
From the doorstep, scenic paths lead towards the beautiful shores of Sennen Cove (1 mile), where golden sands and sea air await. Keen walkers and canine chums can follow the trails to Land's End or venture further to Porthcurno (5 miles), home to a stunning beach and the world-famous Minack Theatre perched high above the cliffs. For a day of browsing independent shops and dog-friendly waterside cafes, the much-loved harbour town of St Ives lies 17 miles away.
