10/10 for Tom's Barn! If you're reading this review having already booked Tom's Barn - you won't be disappointed. Just sit back, feel smug and rest assured that you are in for a real treat. If you're thinking about booking but worried that it's new - put those concerns aside and book immediately, before everyone else finds out about this wonderfRead moreul place! We visited as a group of 9 friends last weekend. We go away every year and this is the first time we've managed to find five equally-sized, twin (or king - you choose) en-suite bedrooms. The pool complex with sauna and Turkish steam room is breathtaking and rivals the nicest spas. The rainforest shower is a real treat - very similar to the one at Ragdale Hall. The speaker system works really well too. The hot tub was the perfect temperature. We didn't light the outdoor log burner this time. The living area and kitchen are beautiful and well equipped. We ate around the long kitchen table and relaxed on the sofas in front of the log burner - very comfy. The bar area has fridges and glassware. We didn't use the Perfect Keg machine but the idea is a nice touch. The pizza oven proved a bit tricky for us but we still managed to make some tasty pizzas. We didn't use the Tandoor oven or the Green Egg BBQ. Outside the landscaping is unfinished (probably due to the awful weather this year so far) but promises to be as beautiful as the outside. You must feed the gorgeous Highland cows just over the fence. Shake their buckets and they'll come running! As a new rental it's only to be expected that there are a few snags, but I've provided the barn's lovely owner, Jodie, with a list and I'm sure she'll be adding the final touches very soon. Nothing on the list affected our enjoyment of our visit and we can't wait to go again. Hide
