Set on a historic working farm, this beautiful lodge offers families, groups of friends and canine companions a peaceful escape to the countryside; explore the tail-wagging landscapes of North Suffolk on your doorstep.
All your creature comforts are at your fingertips in the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Floor-to-ceiling windows and two large sets of patio doors provide warm, sunny spots for your four-legged friend to snooze in. The coal-effect electric fire will keep toes and paws toasty as you relax on the sofa, dine with your local produce or rustle up some treats in the contemporary country cottage-style kitchen. A private sauna in the lodge is perfect for soothing sore walking muscles. When it’s time to pause from chasing your tail, three blissful bedrooms await. There’s one idyllic en-suite king-size bedroom, and two peaceful twin zip-and-link bedrooms (can be made up as king-sizes) on offer. Little paws can stretch out on the gated veranda, which features outdoor dining furniture and a sunken hot tub, ideal for entertaining. The shared grounds include lots of grassy areas for a peaceful walk. There is private parking for several cars beside the lodge.
This scenic spot is a haven for anyone with a nose for nature, with plenty of peaceful walks that your canine companion will go mutts for, beginning from the doorstop. Known for its charming heritage and thriving local market, sniff out some of this area’s best local produce from the historic market town of Diss, 11 miles away. Enjoy a ride on the Mid-Suffolk Light Railway (9.5 miles), Suffolk's only standard gauge heritage railway, with your pup in tow. Lead the way to the coastline to treat your pup to an afternoon bounding through the waves and strolling along beach hut-lined promenade at Southwold, 26 miles away (seasonal restrictions may apply).
