Originally built in Victorian times, this spacious stone cottage is a fantastic holiday retreat for families, couples and friends eager to explore a magical part of Derbyshire. Offering cosy accommodation for five guests, the property also has ample room for three furry pals to join you in discovering the Peak District. Thoughtfully updated throughout, this delightful bolthole has been elegantly decorated and stylishly furnished to make a peaceful base for walkers, hikers, wildlife enthusiasts and pets seeking a cosy hideaway near the heart of the historic spa town of Buxton.
An inviting hallway leads through to the front lounge with plush seating, a Smart TV and a cosy wood burner. Across the hallway, a cheerful second lounge also serves as the dining room, and features a wood burner in a stone inglenook alongside a handy desk, ample seating, a sociable dining table and a large cinema OLED screen. A steep cottage-style staircase leads to the first floor with a lovely double bedroom and a refreshing bathroom. A second steep staircase heads up to the two bedrooms on the second floor: a double and a small double (4' wide), each with one side of the bed against the wall. Please note these bedrooms feature low sloping ceilings. Outside, the steeply tiered garden has a sweet decked area, ideal for dining alfresco with your pets lying peacefully in the sun on a summer afternoon. On-street parking can be found nearby, and there's bike storage in the back yard.
